quiros/aarn: headbadge and logo design [bicycle]

armando quiros, man, what a good guy. everyone was really excited/scared when he said that he was going off to framebuilding school. we knew that he would be dangerous once he had the skills, just because the man has such an appreciation for gorgeous bicycles. for armando i felt like it was similar to when you walk alone into the woods to find something or other (what?). so anyway, we all packed him a lunch and made sure that he brought enough socks and stuff and sent him on his way. this is a complete fabrication of the truth, but when armando came back he did ask me to design some headbadges for his new handcrafted line of bicycles.

we sent emails back and forth for a while and eventually settled on something inside of a shield. i took the shield ball and ran with it and came up with a nice font selection for the downtube decal and the logo/design of the main badge. we had a bunch of them lasercut out of stainless and that’s pretty much how it went. check out armando’s first bike on prolly’s blog, and look for his website soon.
